so yeah, went to see it last night with my hubby and my sister's kids...


I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND EVERY SINGLE ICON I'VE SEEN and the whole Erik/Charles angle... Dear sweet Buddha do i understand it all now. My husband hated the movie 'cause he's a purist, but I loved it because I accept it as the new universe it is. AND IT IS AWESOME. And no, I'm not putting out spoilers.

BUT I TOTALLY GET FASSAVOY or MCFASS or BENDAVOY or whatever the fuck it's being called now.... *hugs everyone*

AMEN SISTER!!!! The first thing I did when I got out of that movie was tweet that I was feeling the deep need to write some Erik/Charles fic. God I loved that movie. It was the only one out of all of the movies that I feel I accept as canon....

But it wasn't! and that's the point that my hubby hates...

Because Professor X was never actually paralyzed... (when they went to Antarctica in the comics and the cartoon, to that place where all mutant powers are null and void, he can walk) it's his power that keeps him from walking, not what happened in the movie

Oh, I know, but the comics have been retcon'd sooo many times, that I just accept this as another version. I can't say that about any of the other movies, but this one felt very, very true to characters, you know?
