Okay, so I'm a dork... or rather my sister is. We got up at 350 (okay I got up at 350, she got up at 330) to watch the Wedding. That was one of the most beautiful things I've seen in my entire life. That was literally a fairy tale come to life, a woman from a 'regular' family marrying into royalty.

Every little girl's (and woman's. I'll admit it) dream came just a little closer today, with Kate (Catherine now, poor woman) Middleton becoming Duchess Cambridge, and eventually Queen (Consort) Catherine of England....

Her Royal Highness Princess William of Wales is what she is right now, and I swear I almost cried when I first saw her get out of that Rolls to walk into Westminster Abbey.

I'm such a dork. I spent most of the wedding googling certain things about the wedding...

When she first got out everyone thought she was wearing the tiara that the Queen had given to Diana (not the one she wore at their wedding, since she wore one of her family's tiaras) but it was later revealed that she was wearing a Cartiere tiara made for the Queen Mother. She can't keep that tiara since it belongs to the Crown, but it was indeed a beautiful tiara and she looked so damned beautiful.

Okay I'm going to stop squeeing for now, but I'll probably post about the kiss here in about half an hour.

You got up to watch it??? ;D

It was pretty - shame about the rign almost not going on! But something had to go wrong lol ;D

And her dress was GORGEOUS :D And the tiara was lovely :) And they got the BBMF to fly over!!! SO JEALOUS :D

Yes, I got woken up from the couch in our den to drink 3 cups of coffee in order to see the longest wedding ceremony I've ever seen- and I've been to two - and then wait another hour to see two really short kisses accompanied by a scowling three year old girl (one of the prince's cousins was covering her ears and frowning when they kissed).

and IKNORITE? (for the BBMF thing

I loved her dress it was gorgeus and even with the 6 foot train it didn't go over the top with a lot of poofyness and what not like Dianas did when she got married, cause man that dress was way poofy. Not to insult the 2 Princes late mother I just prefer cleaner lines.

In defense of Di, she got married in 1981, the age of poofy clothes.

and normally it would be a full cathedral train at 10 feet but Kate put her foot down. or was that 12 feet? *can never remember*

Very true and she was 19 so she was still very young and the dress really reflected a kind of Cinderella feel. But I still like the neckline of her backup dress better, it still had the ruffle but not so overwhelming. Of course I was 6 when she got married so at the time I thought it was the best thing ever! LoL The train on Dianas actually 25 feet long, can you imagine how heavy that was?

But the one the thing I wanna know about todays wedding is what the heck was that thing on Princess Eugenies head??? ;)

what the hell was on both of their heads? and why did their mother allow them to sit behind the Queen (who was adorable in yellow, yes I know, she's older than my grandmother) looking like a hot mess? I'm surprised She didn't laugh Her ass off at them. I think she did. There's a couple of times where I thought the Queen was sniffling. She was probably holding back snickers.

Well they are her grand daughters so she probably was amused by it. But the Queen looked great way better then her blantly snubbed daughter-n-law Camilla! Which I thought was funny as hell personally, I mean really did she really think the Queen was going to pretend to like her with PDA at her Grandsons wedding? I think not.

oh and someone tried to say that Camilla is 'Princess of Wales' that's some bullshit right there. She's Duchess of Cornwall and Rothesay, but Princess of Wales is only for those who are legitimately married by the Church of England (or it should be, because I hate Camilla with a passion).

The Queen got a 'you go girl!' from me when she did that, btb.

I'm home alone tonight, so I'll admit that I cried like a baby during the whole processional. It was so beautiful.

yeah, that was amazing. All I could think about was the 'Cinderella' aspect. A commoner marrying into the Royal Family. *sigh*

the song 'Today is the Day' that the boys' choir sang at one point? is totally a song my nephew sings almost every day, though his version is a highly updated and poppified version from his vacation bible school. I was giggling a little while they were singing.
