so yeah, went to see it last night with my hubby and my sister's kids...

I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND EVERY SINGLE ICON I'VE SEEN and the whole Erik/Charles angle... Dear sweet Buddha do i understand it all now. My husband hated the movie 'cause he's a purist, but I loved it because I accept it as the new universe it is. AND IT IS AWESOME. And no, I'm not putting out spoilers.

BUT I TOTALLY GET FASSAVOY or MCFASS or BENDAVOY or whatever the fuck it's being called now.... *hugs everyone*

Yes, folks, I realized today why my husband remembers our wedding anniversary. May the Fourth be with you, my friends, and here's a weather report to get you started on the end of your day.

So my hubby FB-messaged me earlier in the day, asking me to make sure my phone is on and charged (bad me can't find it right at this moment, but fear not, it'll turn up) for next Wednesday. Me, automatically assuming that he'd forgotten our anniversary what with him having been overseas from four days after we got hitched, asked if he was coming home (I'm a wife, and in that sense I learned from my mother. I'm not reminding him of something like that; it's his job to figure it out).

He immediately (and this was late into his night) replied that no, he wanted to be able to talk to me on our anniversary and make the plans to celebrate it once he got home the next day or the day after. So color me surprised, only I shouldn't have been. He made it a point to call me twice on my birthday, close to when it started, at about 3 am my time, and again that night so that he caught me on my birthday where he was and here. Also, I griped about him not remembering Valentine's Day, and he called soon after that. *makes notes to amend that post*

so I'm not sure why I thought he'd forget this. But I have a little bit bigger fish in my pond right now. We have nowhere to live (the paperwork that we needed to have to get a house immediately never got turned in) since my brother refuses to let my husband stay here because of some issues from earlier in his tour, and then there's the no-car situation, and fun thing is that my brother is working, my sister has finals all that week. And we need to go an hour and a half walk away from this house, let alone where we end up in order to turn in the paperwork. And we don't have a lot of money. I'm planning a budget, but that doesn't help much when all we've got to our names is a broken down couch and a nice queen size bed, and enough dishes for two, and silverware for 8 (everyone keeps giving me silverware). I've been promised a set of pots and pans when my 'sister' talks her husband into getting a new set for their house. The pots and pans aren't broken or anything, and they still cook well, my friend just has issues with using 'old' things.

Oh, and my sister's giving me a recliner and possibly a loveseat. Oh, and we have a tv, some bookshelves, and a few plastic dressers. We're just missing the place to live and put all that stuff.

And I'm not even sure what this is about anymore, since I'm going on 22 hours of being awake, so I'm going to go to bed and dream about Cartiere (I can't do the accent thing on the end) tiaras and Roman slave outfits. Before you ask, no, the two are not connected in any way (who am I kidding? the tiara has to do with porn and so does the outfit, so I guess they are connected) and yet will probably both show up in the same dream, most likely on the same person. Ta for a lovely night, and call me if anyone interesting shows up.

Out.

Okay, so I'm a dork... or rather my sister is. We got up at 350 (okay I got up at 350, she got up at 330) to watch the Wedding. That was one of the most beautiful things I've seen in my entire life. That was literally a fairy tale come to life, a woman from a 'regular' family marrying into royalty.

Every little girl's (and woman's. I'll admit it) dream came just a little closer today, with Kate (Catherine now, poor woman) Middleton becoming Duchess Cambridge, and eventually Queen (Consort) Catherine of England....

Her Royal Highness Princess William of Wales is what she is right now, and I swear I almost cried when I first saw her get out of that Rolls to walk into Westminster Abbey.

I'm such a dork. I spent most of the wedding googling certain things about the wedding...

When she first got out everyone thought she was wearing the tiara that the Queen had given to Diana (not the one she wore at their wedding, since she wore one of her family's tiaras) but it was later revealed that she was wearing a Cartiere tiara made for the Queen Mother. She can't keep that tiara since it belongs to the Crown, but it was indeed a beautiful tiara and she looked so damned beautiful.

Okay I'm going to stop squeeing for now, but I'll probably post about the kiss here in about half an hour.

What American accent do you have?
Created by Xavier on Memegen.net

Southern. Love it or hate it, your accent says you're probably from somewhere south of the Ohio River.

If you're not from the South, you probably were overanalyzing the questions. Take the quiz again but don't think so hard next time.

I guess it's right... most of my family is from the South, after all... Either that or I've been down here too long.

Okay, so I don't really talk about my religion because I don't want to just throw it out there in your face, but I'm not Christian. However, I'd like to wish all of my friends who do celebrate Easter in that way a very happy holiday.

Under the cut is some very very bad humor that I'm probably going to get slammed about, but anyone that plays online computer games would probably get it. Highly blasphemous from a Christian standpoint... but strangely hilarious anyway.

Got this from [livejournal.com profile] siluria

Here are the rules:
- Reply to this post with ICON ME! and I will pick five of your icons.
- Make a post (including this info) and talk about the icons I chose.
- Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
- This will create a never ending cycle of icon glee

I got this from [livejournal.com profile] universaldogma a few days ago from an icon dump on [livejournal.com profile] merlinxarthur when I realized I'm woefully deficient on Merlin icons. There's things I've contemplated doing for this fandom that would have had me blushing like a virgin in a whorehouse at the beginning, but now it's kind of like 'eh, I have no time to research this/the kids might get ahold of the computer.' So that's the story of the shame icon.

I needed an icon for general rants/acerbic comments, and [livejournal.com profile] wicked_jade  obliged me without knowing it by creating this amazingness. I only use it for half of my posts since I love the saying. It honestly took me a few times to realize that he's giving the finger. but John Malkovich is a beast, so it doesn't matter lol.

this one came from [livejournal.com profile] avictoriangirl when I went trolling on her journal for more Jones icons... I use it interchangeably with my other jones icons, depending on my mood... that's about all I've got...

Ah, the immortal 'bunk' icon. There are many incarnations, some including real beds, and this one was made by my lj wife [livejournal.com profile] imagined_haven who doesn't know Firefly at all (not from lack of trying on both of our parts) and when I mentioned the origins of the phrase she went out and found this picture and made it for me. She has repeatedly offered to make me a new one, now that she knows more about iconning, but I like this one just the way it is. Simple, and kind of weird. Just like Jayne. (pretty cunning ain't it?)

And my size queen. This one was made by me, back at the beginning of my iconning, and I actually made it based off a prompt on [livejournal.com profile] buckleup_meme  that Jim was a size queen. The story fill(s) was(were) amazing, since all I can remember from reading it(them) is about a friend in Des Moines who helped Jim out. The prompt was AOS but there just aren't any pictures of CFine holding a giant phallic object, while the base for this was absolutely everywhere.

And that's my icons! go ahead and comment with 'Icon Me' and I'll find 5 of yours!

So, I was searching Amazon's Kindle eBooks, as is my wont on paydays, and I ran across something AMAZING

The Star Trek Encyclopedia is up for Pre-Order. It's 24.99 and it comes out in May, and God help me I pre-ordered my ass off on that.

I also found 'How to Survive Starfleet', 'Starfleet Physics', and a Klingon dictionary (didn't get the dictionary). AND Star Trek and Philosophy, the Wrath of Kant.

SO my lovelies, I believe all of those are available in real books as well, so there you go!

Okay, I'm only two episodes into the second season of this wonderfully British show... and all I can think about is threesomes. Is that terrible? Though some of that is from my extensive research into the original history and myth of Camelot and King Arthur and Queen Gwenuivere, and of course, Merlin.

But yes, I think my first fic for this fandom, rather than the thinky introspects, is going to be a thinky, introspective UST threesome. Probably no porn, because my mind hasn't gotten quite that far into the depravity yet, but...

Yes, Season 2 is giving me thoughts.

So pretty much, yes, I've been sucked into the fandom... Which is weird, because though I love it to pieces, Doctor Who never inspired me to write anything... must just be this one. Oh well.

anyway, ta, I'm going to dream of Arthur/Gwen/Merlin

Okay, I'm in the middle of the second episode of the first season and I'm already in love with it.

NEAL. Oh, his eyes... and the man's acting... I'm convinced that all actors are con artists, because he does it almost too well.... and did I mention his EYES? *explodes in fangasm for light eyes.

It has even spawned IDEAS... IDEAS for things that I'm almost afraid to write, but have started writing anyway... anyone interested in Conman!Jim? and Conman!Bones? cause that's what I want to do... what I'm doing, I should say.

In other news, White Collar is very compelling to watch. Like I'm on the edge of my seat with his search for Kate, even though the UST is driving me insane... Like batshit crazy

EDIT: in the third Episode, there's an ST reference of epic proportions!!! *squees in glee* I love Moz

Okay, list your top 10 (preferably from the same fandom) before answering the questions under the cut. Trust me, it's hilarious. Please post in your own journal and let me know if you've done so (if you want me to see it lol)

1. Chekov
2. Sulu
3. Spock
4. Kirk
5. Uhura
6. Scotty
7. Pike
8. Number One
9. Archer
10. Nero

List before you look lovelies )

Yeah, so I'm a stalker in the worst way for memes because I'm just so darn bored and can't bring myself to make something up for myself, and it's too hot to write most of my fiction (though Ride IS set in the cold right now... Hmm..... I'll wait for my internet connection to come back to continue that one...
